Rosamund Walton - Soprano
Biography


Rosamund Walton began her musical training at Trinity College of Music Junior department in London studying 'cello, piano & composition winning numerous prizes on graduation.  She later studied voice under Helen Lawson at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music where she graduated with a Masters in Concert singing.  She was supported during her studies by the Barcaple Foundation Trust and was the recipient of the 2003 Norma Grieg French song prize. Prior to completing her conservatoire training her initial degree from the University of East Anglia was in Drama.  After graduating she spent many years working as an actress in both straight theatre and musicals before deciding to move into the classical repertoire.  She spent a few years on the choral circuit in London before embarking on further musical studies and a career mainly concentrating on work as a soloist.
