Hexachordia

The Hexachordia trio are joined by  Rosamund Walton for a special programme of English and European sixteenth-century music inspired by the famous Armada Portrait of Elizabeth I.  This showcase of Elizabethan music features English lute songs by Thomas Campion and John Dowland, Spanish instrumental and vocal music by Alfonso Ferrabosco and Alonso Mudarra, as well as compositions in honour of The Virgin Queen by some of the most famous composers of the day such as William Byrd.
